-        Order of the Arrow, Wahpekahmekunk Chapter

-          The Order of the Arrow has the responsibility to contact every Cub Scout Pack in the Golden Eagle District to schedule a Summer Camp promotion.  Whether your pack goes to Day Camp or Webelos Adventure Camp, we want to help fire up your Scouts.  This will prepare them for the weeklong summer camp they will experience as Boy Scouts.  As your Webelos prepare to join a troop, let the OA make this a memorable time by doing a Crossover Ceremony.

-

-          Another responsibility of the Order of the Arrow is to contact every Troop and Team in the Golden Eagle District to see if any Scout is eligible for election to the OA.  If a Scout is eligible, then an election will be scheduled.  To be eligible a Scout must at least First Class rank, under the age of 21, registered as an active member, and approved by his unit leader.  The Scout must also have 15 days and nights of Boy Scout camping which must include one, but not more than one, long term camp consisting of six consecutive days and five nights of resident camping during the two year period prior to the election.  If at least one youth is elected, then the unit committee can recommend one registered adult leader, 21 years of age or older, for every 50 registered youth.  All elections results must be reported to the Jaccos Towne Lodge by the LEC held on March 15, 2009 .  Those elected will have one year to complete their Ordeal and become an Arrowman.  The Wahpekahmekunk Chapter will hold an Ordeal May 8-10, 2009 .  More information will be available at the time of elections.

-

-          The next WPK Chapter meetings are December 7, January 4, and February 8 at Camp Red Wing, in the Kiwanis Lodge, at 2:30 pm .
